Made in Thailand. About THE SHIVA EYE. Turbanshells live in up to depths of 20 meters in the sea and feed from algae which grow on corals and stones. The snail bears a protective door, which is called "Operculum"(lat.) or "Shiva-Eye" and protects the animal`s life. Then, after two years the snail looses the door to built a new stone. So the Shiva Eye lies on the seabed. In south Thailand the Shiva Eyes are of best quality.
