Several tools are required for a successful beading experience. The basics would include, but are not limited to: Flat-Nose, Round-Nose, Chain Nose and Bent Nose Pliers. Pliers can usually be purchased in sets, or individually, depending on personal choice. A wire cutter and small scissors are also essential beading tools.
Crimper Tools are also extremely important for both crimping beads, and for applying the Crimp Covers. Various Types of Pliers, And What They're Used For: - Flat-Nose: Broad, flat jaws used for gripping and holidng wire and for creating angular bends. These are also handy for opening and closing jump rings.
- Round-Nose: Smooth, round, tapered jaws used for creating loops and round bends in wire at ends of head pins as a finish to earrings.
- Chain Nose: Pointed ends, while found on the outside and flat on the inside, these pliers are used for gripping and tucking in the ends of your wire.
- Bent Chain Nose: Similar to Chain Nose, but bent at a 45degree angle. These are great for those hard to reach places.
