Mother of Pearl, also know Trocha, is the iridescent lining that forms on the inside of shells in some fresh-water and salt-water mollusks. Like pearl, it is a secretion of the shell mantle.
Some believe it to stimulate imagination, sensitivity and intuition and help with clarity in decision making. Mother of pearl symbolizes faith, charity and innocence, and traditionally has been used to strengthen the environment and bring greater purity to the atmosphere.
